The exhibition Third Body features collaborative video works created by artist Roey Victoria Heifetz and filmmaker Zohar Melinek Ezra over the past year, alongside a large-scale painting by Heifetz. The video works were filmed in public and intimate spaces in various locations in Europe, the United States and Israel.
The videos centre around a fraught sexual encounter that sways between moments of intimacy and passion and moments of psychological and physical violence. Alongside this encounter, the piece portrays solo shows by several other characters. The videos deceive and lead the viewers in a convoluted, emotional and tumultuous path.
The camera deconstructs and reconstructs the body, wandering between narratives, revealing and presenting a complex expression of the relationship between body and gender, body and sex, and body and spirit.
